Requirements
- Fluency in Python, SQL, Javascript
- Demonstrated usage of standard software engineering best practices: peer code review, distributed version control, modern package managers, automated build/test/deploy CI/CD pipelines
- Scaling software at a manufacturing startup
- Molecular biology background

Responsibilities
- Rapidly design and build scalable software applications in a cloud-based environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover requirements, cut through end users dictating implementation, and identify the right design
- Own the use of software engineering best practices, including distributed version control, participation in team code review, and automation for building, testing, and deploying production code
- On-call troubleshooting of production software issues: achieve rapid corrective action, identify root cause, and specify prevention
- Ensure data integrity, traceability, accuracy, and security
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another quantitative discipline, with 3+ years of relevant industry software development experience
