Middesk is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to enhance their DevSecOps team, focusing on creating secure, cost-effective, and scalable platform capabilities. This role aims to accelerate software delivery, improve developer experience, and ensure compliance, addressing the need for efficient and scalable development and production systems.
Requirements
- Experience building infrastructure, platform, or DevOps systems at scale.
- Experience operating and managing Kubernetes-based environments in production.
- Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform) and GitOps workflows.
- Experience working on high availability systems
- Experience building and deploying components of the AI stack.
- Experience building and deploying AI infrastructure or agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD).
- Own and evolve developer experience (DevEx) tools and workflows, from local development to deployment.
- Build observability systems that provide insight into performance, reliability, and usage.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Platform and Product Engineers to build shared platform tools necessary to scale our products and services
- Help enforce and maintain security and compliance standards across infrastructure (SOC 2, FedRAMP, etc).
- Drive a culture of automation, resiliency, and operational excellence.

- We follow a hybrid work model, and for this role, there is an expectation of 2 days per week in our SF/NYC office. Candidates should be based within a commutable distance, as we believe in the value of in-person collaboration and building strong team connections while also supporting flexibility where possible.
- 6+ years of experience building infrastructure, platform, or DevOps systems at scale.
- Prior experience at a fast-growing startup or fintech company.
