Unisys is looking to solve technical problems within software development, networking and infrastructure support, and DevSecOps through the hiring of a Software Engineer Intern
Requirements
- Knowledge and skills within a technical discipline (i.e., technical support, software development, data analysis and reporting, networking. / infrastructure support, DevSecOps / cloud support)
- Basic coding skills
- Version control skills
- Secure coding practices
- Networking hardware installation and configuration skills
- Scripting skills
- Programming skills
Responsibilities
- Writing basic code or scripts for internal tools and projects
- Helping test software for bugs
- Contributing to or participating in code reviews – learning version control and secure coding practices
- Assisting with the installation and configuration of network hardware
- Helping monitor network performance and identify potential issues
- Assisting with automation of routine tasks using scripts or programming tools
- Assisting with cloud infrastructure management
Other
- High School diploma or GED required
- Less than 1 years’ experience in area of responsibility
- Eligibility for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
- Ability to work on an alternating (i.e., every other semester) or temporary basis
- Ability to attend school or vocational training during periods of non-work
