Bastian Solutions' R&D team is looking to develop industry-leading Autonomous Vehicle and Robotic solutions for the Material Handling Industry. The Software Engineer Intern will assist in the research, innovation, design, and prototype development of new products to bring them to market.
Requirements
- C++ and Python experience
- Experience with Git version control
- Comfortable using and developing in a Linux (Ubuntu) OS environment
- ROS (Robot Operating System) familiarity a plus
- Experience with hardware (microcontrollers, motor control, sensors, etc) a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and test software for Autonomous Vehicles and Robots
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews
- Assist in testing of live Autonomous Vehicles and Robots
- Engage in Agile development processes to plan sprints and team workloads
- Follow GitFlow processes for robust version control
- assist in development of our core software architecture as well as applied software solutions
- have ownership of focused projects and designs
Other
- Work alongside dedicated mentor on Intern projects
- 5% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
- Travel is for training purposes
- Undergrad or Graduate Program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
