Cboe Clear US is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to assist with Java development projects, data modeling, and analytics in the capital markets domain, aiming to enhance their financial infrastructure and trading solutions.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and familiarity with Java development.
- Exposure to Spring Boot or related frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Basic understanding of data structures, relational databases, and experience with basic data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and enhancement of applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement clean, scalable, and efficient code.
- Support the team with SQL queries, data extraction, and modeling for financial data analysis.
- Create and optimize data models for better performance and insights.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data and the preparation of reports.
- Help with writing unit tests and performing quality assurance on existing code to ensure the reliability and scalability of applications.
- Gain hands-on experience with the technologies used in financial systems.
Other
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year.
