Raytheon is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department in the summer of 2026 to design, develop, test, and release software products for one of their Radar or C2 programs.
Requirements
- Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python).
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and will be at minimum Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2026.
- Ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team.
