Requirements
- Experience with object-oriented programming (Java and/or Python preferred)
- Familiarity with web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of data science concepts and eagerness to learn more
- Experience with Spark, Kafka, or other parallel processing/job streaming frameworks
- Spring (Java framework)
- Database knowledge (SQL)
- Completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above
Responsibilities
- Building innovative data-driven applications for the retail industry
- Working alongside talented data scientists, software developers, and QA teams
- Using object-oriented programming (Java and/or Python preferred)
- Developing with web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and RESTful APIs
- Applying data science concepts and learning more
- Working with Spark, Kafka, or other parallel processing/job streaming frameworks
- Utilizing Spring (Java framework) and Database knowledge (SQL)

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or an equivalent science/engineering field AND returning to the program after completion of the internship
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
