Electronic Arts is looking to define the future of the first-person shooter with the Battlefield franchise, and needs to build the systems that bring game worlds to life, from vehicles and character movement to physical interactions.

Requirements

  • C++ knowledge
  • Experience of debugging and profiling tools
  • 3D maths and geometry
  • Knowledge of physics-related programming (such as collision detection, rigid body dynamics, or real-time simulation).

Responsibilities

  • You will build and test features, integrating them into the game’s codebase.
  • Take part in Agile processes such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • You will collaborate with QA and development teams to identify and fix issues.
  • You will learn and apply best practices in requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.
  • You will develop your skills in real-time physics systems used in large-scale games.

  • You are currently studying in the penultimate year of undergraduate study with a planned placement year.
  • You are available to commence a full-time 12 month placement in July 2026.
