Viasat is looking for people to contribute to the implementation, support and maintenance of software systems that ingest, distribute, and visualize data from all systems in the company to ensure business and technical customers have access to the data they need to make educated decisions.
Requirements
- Hands-on development experience with Python
- Experience analyzing and processing data
- Knowledge of LINUX OS platform
- Interest or familiarity with full stack software
- Familiarity with analysis of systems requirements, identifications of gaps, and advise on implementable solutions
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts
- Comfortable with relational databases and writing database queries in SQL
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation, support and maintenance of software systems that ingest, distribute, and visualize data from all systems in the company
- Development of large data solutions for near real time monitoring needs, analytics, reporting, and billing
- Provide solutions that ensure business and technical customers have access to the data they need to make educated decisions
- Contribute software development and data analytics skills to enhance mobility business data requirements and expand our data monetization platforms
- Work with other data software engineers locally and remotely as part of a data products development team
- Software developed goes through modern CI/CD testing and deployment processes to deploy rapid changes to our production systems
- Enhance mobility business data requirements and expand our data monetization platforms
Other
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related subject area
- Final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and August 2027
- Available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program
- Housing and relocation assistance are available to interns pending eligibility
- Intern compensation is non-negotiable
