Pendo is looking to improve society's experience with software by building tools that help product managers make smarter decisions, and is seeking dynamic and motivated team members to join their Engineering organization as Software Engineering Interns to help build intelligent, user-facing features powered by machine learning and large language models.

Requirements

  • Experience in at least one of the following: Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, C, Swift, Kotlin, or similar current programming languages
  • Understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular (for Front End internship)
  • Understanding of distributed computing fundamentals like REST APIs and cloud computing (GCP, AWS and/or Azure) (for Back End or Site Reliability Engineering internship)
  • Understanding of/experience with cloud data storage like document databases (for Back End or Site Reliability Engineering internship)
  • Familiarity with Python-based ML frameworks (preferred)
  • Experience integrating or experimenting with LLMs or APIs like OpenAI or LangChain (preferred)
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or working with vector databases (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to teams working on meaningful projects, such as transforming the enterprise customer experience by eliminating barriers to adoption, building AI agentic features, or delivering AI-powered insights
  • Build web infrastructure with programming languages such as Python, Golang or JavaScript using Vue
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospective activities
  • Create a real impact on the engineering team(s) by working directly with Product, Design and your team in an Agile environment rapidly developing and releasing Pendo products to our customers

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate full-time college degree program, preferably in computer science or a similar field with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate critical-thinking, time-management, and decision-making capabilities
  • Previous technical internship experience (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity about AI tooling and applying AI to real-world product experiences (preferred)
