Develop and support distributed micro-services that power the lifecycle of shipments on the Uber Freight platform and maintain Freight’s search infrastructure
Requirements
- Good experience with at least one programming language preferably in Java, Go, or Python
- Experience building Search infrastructures, Indexing pipelines
- Experience with Search technologies (Lucene, ElasticSearch, Solr)
- Knowledge of stream/batch processing engines (Apache Spark, Apache Flink)
- Experience working with microservices
- Experience with storage technologies (SQL, Hive)

- Actively pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical subject area
- Expected graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
- Ability to work at Frisco, Texas, or Chicago, IL locations
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours, between 6/1/2026 - 08/07/2026
