Agile Space Industries is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to develop internal software tools that support various aspects of their operations, including rocket engine design, testing, and additive manufacturing, to aid in the development of next-generation propulsion systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, C-Sharp, JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, React
- Experience developing and deploying software that has been used on real-world applications
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices including requirements definition, system design, version control, and documentation
- Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
- Experience with web development, including frontend, backend, and/or database development
- Experience building reactive user interfaces using a framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
Responsibilities
- Development of a user interface for visualization and exploratory analysis of high-speed test data from Agile's state of the art rocket engine test stands
- Development of a live data streaming system for monitoring test data and video feeds from engine hot fire tests in real time
- Development of a backend data pipeline for processing, automated analysis, and storage of test data
- Development of a web-based monitoring tool and computer vision-based anomaly detection system for Agile's additive manufacturing operations
- Full participation in a software development project, from requirements definition to design, implementation, testing, and deployment
Other
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate program in computer science, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Willingness to work fulltime onsite at the Durango office location
