TikTok's User Growth Department is looking to improve the entire TikTok user growth funnel, including branding, acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across various products. The Innovative Growth Organization specifically aims to expand TikTok's reach to new surfaces like web, vehicle infotainment systems, and tablet apps to continue growing its user base and consumption.
Requirements
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS, User Interface and User Experience guidelines and best practices
- iOS/Android development
- Server and backend fundamentals, RESTful APIs, Microservices, NoSQL DB, RDBMS, Event Bus
- Experience in developing consumer-facing applications through experimentation
- Experience building metrics-driven experiments and using data to inform product decisions
- Knowledge of at least one of the following tech areas: Web Platform, Native app platforms, Server and backend fundamentals
- Node.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Go, iOS/Android
Responsibilities
- Use full-stack technology (Node.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Go, iOS/Android) to develop MVPs and run experiments to validate ideas and iterate quickly, leveraging new technologies, tools when needed.
- Work with product managers and data scientists to analyze product and user data, and iterate product based on data insights.
- Participate in the conception, estimation, and prioritization of ideas, with data-driven product sense.
Other
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
- Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product, data science, recommendation systems/algorithm
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
