Enova is looking for Software Engineering Interns to join their agile teams and contribute to business initiatives that provide value to consumers by developing top-notch products for their customers using AI and machine learning-powered platforms.

Requirements

  • experience with object oriented programming languages
  • Are pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Bring a passion for crafting exceptional code, using open source technologies, and continuous learning.
  • We welcome engineers from various technical backgrounds!
  • Not Familiar? No problem! We want engineers from diverse backgrounds and have created a self-paced training program to get you up to speed during your first few weeks with us.
  • Beyond this, our teams organize hackathons and tech talks for additional learning, monthly town halls to keep everyone ‘in the know,' affinity and advocacy groups, and even a tech pumpkin carving contest!

Responsibilities

  • partake in the full software development lifecycle
  • work on business initiatives that bring value to our consumers
  • learning the ropes in our intensive boot camp program
  • work on high visibility projects
  • training surrounding Ruby, Rails, GoLang, and other technologies and skills needed to become a successful full stack engineer
  • developing top notch products for our customers
  • code in Ruby and Go

Other

  • We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas or take over sponsorship at this time.
  • This internship will begin June 15, 2026 - August 21, 2026.
  • This role is hybrid and eligible candidates must be able to work in the Chicago office 3 days per week.
  • Graduating Between: December 2026 - June 2027
  • Local to the Chicagoland area or willing to relocate
  • Are able to collaborate with non-technical team members about progress, challenges, or new ideas.
