The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions by writing, maintaining and enhancing critical healthcare systems that are required for everyday functioning of our hospitals and clinics. This role also plays a critical part in the execution of CHOC’s cloud strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing software applications
  • Experience implementing data integration and API services
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design principles, coding and algorithms
  • Ability to design applications at scale
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
  • Strong programming skills with any programming language (Python,Java,.NET, Scripting, Javascript)
  • Any Associate level AWS Certification

  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing software applications
  • Information Systems experience within the healthcare field or Cloud native application development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or additional equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment may be accepted in lieu of education
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management within a healthcare organization
  • Developing Low-No Code Solutions on the Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, SharePoint)
