AM Pierce & Associates and Applied Technologies Group (ATG) is seeking a Software Engineer – Journeyman to provide technical expertise and support to government clients in the development of software systems for DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems or support systems.

Requirements

  • Technical 4-yr degree and 1+ years of experience in Software Engineering
  • Knowledge of military avionics systems, components and software and related design attributes
  • Knowledge of systems engineering procedures, processes, practices, and tools as related to Avionics and Weapons systems and technology
  • Experience in engineering or computer science with an emphasis on software engineering/development of software systems
  • Experience in software requirements allocation, design, software process management, open architecture principles, software integration and test

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate small to medium segments of a project/program
  • Monitor research, analysis, design, development, test, or manufacturing operations
  • Provide oversight direction, management, and coordination of a significant technical effort
  • Serve as a representative for NAVAIR, interfacing with headquarters, contractors, and other government activities involved in the program
  • Furnish technical advice and assistance to gov't leads
  • Report on technical direction of the program, planning and scheduling work, reporting results, progress, schedule adherence and overall accomplishments of the work

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required
  • Acquisition experience
  • Journeyman Level: At least three to ten (3-10) years of experience
  • DAWIA Certification (desired)
  • On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required
