Baylor Genetics needs to develop and maintain comprehensive genetic knowledgebases and integrate this knowledge into clinical diagnostics workflows to support medical decision-making and provide valuable genetic information.
Requirements
- Experience in programming languages.
- Experience in data ETL, data management, and data sharing for genomic and clinical applications, especially for next generation sequencing data.
- Knowledgeable of database management systems in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of database architecture, design, and optimization.
- DevOps experience such as unit testing, CI/CD is a plus.
- strong knowledge and hands-on experience in genetic knowledge management, data engineering, and software engineering
Responsibilities
- Implementation and execution of data ETL, management and engineering.
- Development of user interfaces for curation and data maintenance tools based on user requirements.
- Enhance data and knowledge processing effectiveness and efficiency, and improve workflows for internal data analysis, interpretation, and clinical report writing in daily production clinical operations.
- Implementation of data models and software frameworks to effectively store and process data, information, and clinical insights.
- Monitor database performance and proactively optimize queries and processes for improved efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to architect, engineer, and develop curation tools for our proprietary clinical insight knowledgebase
- integrate this knowledge into our clinical diagnostics workflows.
