PNC is looking to create, govern, and maintain a unified metamodel for data pipelines and repositories across their data products for various lines of business and for Enterprise Technology. This role aims to define standardized taxonomy and relationships for data entities/attributes to ensure consistency, enable interoperability, and enhance data discovery capabilities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic models (e.g., using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SHACL).
- Proficiency with ontology engineering tools (e.g., Protégé, TopQuadrant) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, JanusGraph, RDF stores like Virtuoso or GraphDB).
- Proven experience in designing and developing logical and conceptual data models for large-scale enterprise systems, particularly within complex environments.
- Strong familiarity with common financial data domains (e.g., customer, accounts, products, transactions) and the complexities associated with them.

- Define and enforce standards, guidelines, and conventions for ontology and data modeling
- Harmonize data models across domains and existing data repositories
- Collaborate with lines of business to mature existing domain ontologies that align with the broader enterprise metamodel
- Keep the organization up-to-date with industry developments and W3C standards (e.g., RDF, OWL) related to ontologies, semantics, and data modeling.
- Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
- Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.

- The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.
- Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
