Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems is looking for a Software Engineer – Level 2 to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program, specifically on the SPA Test Exerciser (TEx) team. This role is responsible for developing software products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience maturing/developing models and interfaces using C++ and XML
  • Demonstrated experience developing models and interfaces for TEx / ITEx
  • Demonstrated experience programming in C, C++ and Python with the ability to interpret other languages such as JAVA or ADA
  • Demonstrated experience using software version control tools such as Git, BitBucket, and Artifactory
  • Fluency with XML
  • Experience with the System Engineering Lifecycle and artifacts as they related to modeling and simulation (for example ICDs, SDDs, etc.)
  • Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
  • Experience developing software for hardware in the loop applications
  • Familiarity or Experience with the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) and Single Stimulation Framework (SSF)

  • Experience with the System Engineering Lifecycle and artifacts as they related to modeling and simulation (for example ICDs, SDDs, etc.)

Other

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant work experience; or a Masters Degree in STEM and 0 years of work experience.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
