Northrop Grumman is looking for a Software Engineer to support a small but mighty team that continues to innovate and set new benchmarks for their customer, working on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of software engineering concepts (OOP, unit testing, etc.).
- Experience with Python programming.
- Understanding of AWS services (SQS, S3).
- GitLab familiarization.
- Exposure to Agile processes.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (preferred).
- Experience with Data Lake ingestion, indexing, and querying (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls;
- Prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
- Supports several tools and systems in a dynamic environment with real world technical content.
- Works with Agile processes.
Other
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relative experience; Master's degree + 0 years of relative experience: An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Ability to pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) (not required to start)
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
