TwelveLabs is developing frontier multimodal foundation models that can see, hear and understand the world like humans, aiming to redefine standards in video-language modeling and enable developers to build programs with state-of-the-art semantic search, summarization, and analysis capabilities.
Requirements
- Designed production services using Python, Postgres, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic (and friends)
- Exposure to machine learning models in production environments (e.g. deployment, serving, lifecycle management, monitoring)
- Scaling ML systems and/or data infrastructure to workloads of petabyte+ scale
- Building Kubernetes-based systems for distributed data/ML workflows
Responsibilities
- Advance our industry-leading enterprise video solutions by incorporating already-great research into fault tolerant, low latency systems
- Craft performant APIs using modern Python tools
- Build the highest impact, not the flashiest, libraries and services
- Mentor junior engineers/researchers, and hold a high bar around code quality / engineering best practices
- Lead by example in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding passionate and empathetic engineers

- 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience as a technical lead to deliver projects end to end
