Requirements
- Extensive experience applying advancements in AI, particularly with large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, and image/video generation
- Strong technical curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and innovation
- Experience working with or on creative/design tooling is a plus
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of AI-powered features within Figma’s flagship design editor
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across our product ecosystem, including Buzz, Slides, and FigJam
- Partner with Product and Design teams to develop and implement a long-term AI roadmap that enhances the user experience for designers using Figma
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and engineering partners to push the boundaries of AI applications in creative workflows
- Drive innovation by exploring new AI techniques and integrating them into Figma’s products
- Ensure timely delivery of AI features and projects aligned with business goals and user needs
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and related technologies to inform product strategies

- 4+ years of experience in hiring, leading, and managing engineering teams
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic engineering and product roadmaps
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing and engaged engineering teams
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide senior engineers while attracting top industry talent
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with product, design, and marketing teams
- Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers, including hiring and mentoring staff-level engineers
- Establish a culture of trust, accountability, and positive work environment in partnership with organizational leaders
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the team and across the organization
