Nexon America is looking to solve the problem of supporting creators in the Maplestory Worlds (MSW) platform by resolving their technical issues, providing guidance, and fostering a community that encourages content creation, ultimately aiming to diversify and improve the quality of content within MSW.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Development experience using a gaming engine (experience using Unity is preferred)
  • Proficiency in the programming language Lua (advanced proficiency is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, system design, network and cloud computing
  • Has the ability to analyze/interpret gaming community trends and effectively communicate with the community (social media influencer experience is a plus)
  • Strong, methodical troubleshooting skills are preferred
  • Experience using AI tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical issues related to content creation activities, the service itself, and tools within MSW
  • Provide effective counseling and information to in-game creators regarding MSW features and tools
  • Contribute to the creation of tutorials and guides
  • Escalate issues that needs support from the internal developer group
  • Provide feedback to creators responsibly and appropriately
  • Analyze trends in the creators’ community and propose/implement solutions
  • Gather and address creators' needs, implementing them within MSW

  • We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are preferred
  • Passion to gain new knowledge/skills and learn new technology
  • Ability to discern between effective and ineffective game design principles is a plus
