Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. Our team builds security and privacy analysis infrastructure for Google Play and Android to detect malicious and abusive apps. Together with partner teams across Android, Google Ads, Chrome, Search and Google Cloud, we help Google protect users with safe experiences on our app platform and ecosystem.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ or Python.
- Experience with program analysis.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Experience with static or dynamic analysis.
- Experience with security/privacy.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product or system development code to build detection technologies to protect Android users from Security and Privacy threats.
- Design and build automated static program analysis frameworks at Google scale.
- Design and build secure and helpful code exploration based reverse engineering tools.
- Research and propose new ideas to detect trending malware and abusive apps using static analysis.
- Collaborate with other teams in the organization and Google to deliver impact.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
