Odyssey Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA. HNI delivers enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations and bases, providing technical and policy support, as well as C3I infrastructure for USAF enterprise applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++, Java, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with software development tools, repositories, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Experience with Agile development, DevOps processes, and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of SDLC, V&V, and systems analysis practices
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and analyze documentation, requirements, design, and test materials.
- Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing problem definitions, requirements, and potential solutions.
- Develop software solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and well-structured code.
- Design and install solutions by determining system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Conduct systems analysis to recommend improvements in policies, processes, and procedures.
- Obtain and manage software licensing, including vendor engagement, testing, and approval of products.
- Develop solutions by studying user needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes, following the software development life cycle.

- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience (3 within DoD) OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (5 within DoD)
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
