Palantir builds software to help organizations make data-driven decisions. The Foundations organization is looking for Software Engineers to build and improve the shared infrastructure that underpins Palantir's core platforms (Foundry, Gotham, Apollo), aiming to increase the velocity and quality of engineering.

Requirements

  • write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly
  • build software at scale
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, frontend frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience coding in programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • use: Java and Go for backend and TypeScript for frontend
  • use: Open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux
  • use: Industry-standard build tooling, including Gradle, CircleCI, and GitHub

Responsibilities

  • build the shared infrastructure that underpins the Palantir Foundry, Palantir Gotham, and Palantir Apollo platforms
  • drive investments to improve the velocity and quality of our engineering
  • building features to improve the developer experience for other Palantir engineers
  • improving the scalability and reliability of Palantir’s platforms
  • designing infrastructure to build hundreds of micro-service repos performantly
  • ensure we keep reliable audit logs of everything users do in our platforms
  • operates the systems and services that underpin all aspects of our developer ecosystem

  • Are you passionate about engineering quality, performance, and increasing the impact of engineers around you?
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of individuals, including engineers, users and non-technical team members.
  • Willingness to learn and make decisions independently, and the ability to ask questions effectively.
  • Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
