General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a software engineer for the Payload Control System (PCS) to be responsible for the tactical lab configuration for the PCS and for the Development network.

Responsibilities
- Ability to maintain and fix servers, workstations, and networking devices, including resolving issues as they arise.
- Skills in setting up and configuring tactical bays, servers, and workstations, including wiring and rebuilding server clusters.
- Handling user requests, unlocking accounts, and setting up new user/system accounts and access.
- Updating antivirus definitions, rpms, BIOS, and replacing physical hardware.
- Keeping detailed records of discs, drives, classified media, inventory lists, network diagrams, and physical maps.
- Ensuring systems are STIG compliant, sufficiently hardened against attacks, and generating reports for IA auditing.
Other
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
