Substack is building a new economic engine for culture, giving creators the power of their own publishing platform. The company is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Payments team to optimize payment front ends and manage subscriber revenue.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional full stack web software development using Node.js.
- Experience with building payment processing systems and working with Stripe is an advantage.
- We work with TypeScript, especially Node/Express and React, and Postgres.
Responsibilities
- develop the core Substack product for readers and writers.
- jump into any area of the product, learn quickly and add value.
- Own your work and deliver high-quality solutions from product concept and proposal to implementation, experimentation, and measurement.
- Work directly with customers to solve their problems.
- optimize our payment front ends across web and mobile
- manage the flow of hundreds of millions of dollars in subscriber revenue.
