Waymo is looking to improve the behavior of the Waymo Driver, the world's most experienced driver, by building technology that enables new data-driven approaches of Reasoning to improve the Waymo Driver's behavior and decision-making.
Requirements
- Experience with offboard ML training and data pipelines infrastructure
- Experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets
- Experience in the autonomous driving domain, including areas like motion planning or perception
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in C++
- Eval experience, contributing to scalable eval workflows and building metrics for ML models
Responsibilities
- Develop novel ways to inspect, understand, filter, improve and curate data to be used for ML training and evaluation
- Build data tooling/infrastructure to unblock experimentation and to productionalize ML solutions
- Collaborate closely with partner teams such as perception, research, simulation, and evaluation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data-driven approaches, and be able to prototype, develop and deploy these novel solutions to open-ended problems
Other
- PhD, Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field
- Report to a Technical Lead Manager
