Requirements
Proficiency in C++/Python
Fluency in data-driven development
Experience in solving real-world robotics problems (driving, or similar domains)
Experience building data pipelines
Experience improving developer workflows - identifying and improving inefficiencies and establishing playbooks for common use cases
Proficiency in SQL
Responsibilities
Enable the evaluation of various aspects of driving algorithms through advancement of tools, processes, and infrastructure
Contribute to the development of high quality metrics for the driving challenge as a whole
Develop high quality algorithms for labeling ground truth data that can be used to build high precision metrics
Enable high efficiency workflows across the full spectrum of Waymo's development cycle, starting from problem identification, iteration on algorithmic improvements, to regression monitoring
Accelerate a data/eval-first development paradigm by partnering with various teams across Waymo
Other
BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
