ABB is seeking a Software Engineer to streamline recurring tasks, automate data-driven reporting processes, and build tools that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of business operations within the Planning & Fulfillment (P&F) function.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
- Strong proficiency in Excel macros (VBA) and advanced Excel functions.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools/scripts (e.g., Python, Power Automate, or similar platforms).
- Understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and report optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data handling and transformation.
- Experience working in a supply chain, planning, or operations environment.
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation scripts and tools to reduce manual efforts in recurring P&F reporting activities.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring clear and actionable data visualization.
- Create and optimize Excel macros (VBA) to automate repetitive data processing and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Finance, Operations) to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data used in automation processes.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and support to end-users.
- Continuously monitor and improve existing automation tools and dashboards based on business feedback.

- 2+ years of experience in software development, automation, or business intelligence/reporting roles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Exposure to process mapping tools and lean methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
