Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta) is looking to hire a Software Engineer, Product to develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services, moving beyond 2D screens toward immersive experiences like augmented and virtual reality to help build the next evolution in social technology.
Requirements
- Coding in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: JavaScript, Hack, PHP, Java, C, or C++
- Building large-scale infrastructure applications
- Creating web applications using at least one of the following: Python, JavaScript, Hack, PHP, Java, or GraphQL
- Relational databases, non-relational databases, and SQL
- Implementing web interfaces using at least one of the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, or Redux
- Leveraging frameworks including experience in at least one of the following: React or React Native
- Conducting software designs and code reviews
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.
- Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.
- Design, code, and test full-stack web & mobile business analytics products through modern frameworks and tools on various iOS and Android platforms.
- Improve team engineering development experience, perform code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices, refactor code when necessary to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Monitor as on call to ensure products health and functionalities.
- Measure, monitor and optimize the performance of product features by analyzing and improving code efficiency, queries latencies, reliability, and features usages.
Other
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
- Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.
