Lawtrades is redefining how legal work gets done by pairing an AI-native product with a vetted network of independent lawyers, aiming to enable companies to move with software speed while retaining expert judgment, leading to faster cycles, tighter risk, and a clearer path from request to result. They focus on turning frontier models into dependable, auditable workflows across contracts and marketplace operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years shipping production web products end-to-end (frontend + backend).
  • Expert in a modern front-end framework (Vue or React) plus Node and SQL; comfortable across the stack.
  • Shipped LLM-powered features (prompt/versioning, retrieval, basic evals).
  • GraphQL/Swagger, background jobs/queues, eventing, observability.
  • Security/privacy-minded development in enterprise contexts.
  • TypeScript
  • Vue 3 + TypeScript (Vite, Tailwind, Pinia)

Responsibilities

  • Turn rough ideas into working software in days, not weeks; take features from prototype to production.
  • Design clean, scalable web UIs and wire them to well-structured APIs and data models.
  • Build AI-infused product flows with guardrails and observability so they’re dependable at scale.
  • Instrument everything (analytics, logs, alerts) and drive reliability, performance, and quality.
  • Work across design, ops, and marketplace to ship outcomes, not just features.
  • Talk to customers weekly; run lightweight experiments; double-down on what moves the needle.
  • Improve the codebase: testing discipline, sensible abstractions, crisp documentation.

Other

  • High agency, high bar.
  • Speed with judgment.
  • Customer-tight.
  • No ego in the loop.
  • Onsite in NYC. Velocity and clarity from working together in person.
  • Strong product sense: you sweat UX, edge cases, and time-to-value.
  • Taste for clean architecture, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Communicates clearly; thrives in ambiguity; moves independently.
