Synopsys, now part of Ansys, is seeking a Software Engineer to modernize space simulation, analysis, testing, and training software for the United States Space Force through secure, efficient, and compliant development practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with simulation technology and deploying solutions within engineering workflows
- Proficiency with build management and continuous integration tools, particularly GitLab or GitHub
- Expertise in containerization and Kubernetes management
- Proficiency in Linux environments and Bash scripting
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, IT, and IS teams to enhance and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines
- Integrate DevSecOps methodologies into the software development environment, ensuring compliance with security standards
- Conduct technical reviews and provide mentorship on best practices for software development and security
- Analyze and improve the DevSecOps environment by identifying opportunities for automation, security enhancements, and process efficiencies
- Support the entire Software Development Lifecycle, focusing on build, test, and release automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve interruptions or failures within the DevSecOps pipeline
- Ensure software applications meet Space Force RMF requirements for security and accreditation
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; Master’s degree with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a remote setting
- Document processes, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and stay current with emerging technologies
