Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is looking for a Software Engineer to design, create, maintain, audit, and improve software applications by performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. This position will work on projects of limited complexity and will be closely managed.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with React.js (academic, personal projects, or internships)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating with back-end services.
- Basic knowledge of GitHub for version control.
- Familiarity with AI tools
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing Services
Responsibilities
- Develop user-facing features using React.js.
- Writes, tests and implements efficient code.
- Works within an Agile environment, responds to change quickly, including re-focusing development efforts and adapting to evolving requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing applications for performance.
- Learn and apply modern front-end tools, frameworks, and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
