Requirements
- Proficiency in frontend development using React and TypeScript or backend systems with Python
- Experience building and maintaining production systems that handle financial transactions
- Strong understanding of database design, API development, and web application architecture
- Experience with payment processing systems, subscription management, or financial technology
- Knowledge of financial compliance requirements and best practices for monetary transactions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially in monetary systems
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend and frontend systems for Poe's monetization features, including subscription management, access purchasing flows, and creator payment systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Create intuitive and efficient user interfaces for complex monetary transactions
- Develop, optimize, and secure payment processing systems to ensure reliability and compliance with financial regulations
- Build tools that enable creators to set pricing, monitor revenue, and analyze their monetization performance
- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions to improve system performance and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence within the team
