AWS Application Security Team is looking for an engineer to build great automations, generative AI tools, workflows, and back-end engines for customers, protecting customers and hardening all services and features launched. The role involves building tooling for AWS AppSec teams to facilitate security reviews during partnerships with AWS Product Teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Responsibilities
- Design, build, document, and test software solutions for the AppSec Review program.
- Provide software development expertise in support of AWS Security.
- Dive deep into ambiguous problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Directly represent the team to business leader and technical staff at all levels of the company.
- Prepare and present detailed, written technical information for internal and external audiences.

- The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
