Cimarron is seeking a senior-level Software Engineer to support the Orion program in Denver, CO. Orion is the spacecraft that will carry astronauts farther into space than ever before as part of NASA’s Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond! In this position, you’ll help ensure the long-term sustainability of Orion’s software systems—building tools and analytics that drive cost savings and system modernization. Requirements
- Extensive experience in software development.
- Knowledge of obsolescence management principles and practices.
- Experience with relational database design and management.
- Proficiency in Java and REST API development.
- Experience with DevOps, IT security software, or asset management.
- Experience in human spaceflight software development or integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software tools that analyze and track software obsolescence risk and cost.
- Build and manage the Orion Software Obsolescence Roadmap.
- Develop database-driven applications and REST API solutions for obsolescence analysis.
- Support DevOps and IT efforts related to asset and configuration management.
- Contribute to process improvements and long-term sustainment planning.
