Applied Intuition is looking to ensure high-quality and reliable sensor data for the development and integration of AI models for their autonomous systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience developing low-level software.
- Experience writing and maintaining drivers for automotive sensors (lidar, radar, cameras, or similar).
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and real-time data processing.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills related to hardware-software interactions.
- Experience with real-time, low-latency, safety-critical systems.
- Familiarity with automotive or robotics sensor stacks.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance and safety-critical drivers for several different sensors.
- Ensure seamless integration of sensors with perception, planning, and other autonomy subsystems.
- Debug and optimize sensor performance, including parameter tuning for real-world conditions.
- Work closely with hardware teams to configure and validate sensor functionality.
- Build tools for analysis, and visualization to diagnose sensor-related issues.
- Improve system reliability and robustness through testing, validation, and continuous refinement.

- Occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines to integrate and optimize sensor performance.
