Reality Labs at Meta is looking to solve the problem of delivering high-performance and power-efficient Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences through custom silicon, requiring breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body.
Requirements
- Experience in software design and programming in C/C++ and Python for development, debugging, testing and system integration
- Experience in understanding hardware and how embedded systems work
- Knowledge of the silicon development cycle
- Hands-on experience with peripherals such as UART, SPI, CSI-2, i2c, GPIO, and USB
- Experience with FPGA and hardware evaluation boards
Responsibilities
- Support all phases of SoC development – including standing-up pre-silicon model platforms, early software enablement and SoC bring-up, portable framework architectures and automation strategies implementation targeting simulation, emulation, FPGA and post-silicon product boards
- Develop automation frameworks that allow the silicon organization to move fast with high confidence in the quality of prototyping, system provisioning, silicon/software validation, and system integration
- Develop and distribute software APIs to orchestrate silicon development platforms to automate stimuli input and capture output datastreams for system integration and end-to-end product scenarios
- Invent new tools that streamline reliable software deployment, test execution, and data analysis for on-device continuous integration and release systems
- Stand-up telemetry, data loggers, and health monitoring systems of distributed software infrastructure while integrating with internal AI-tooling for improved observability and debugging
Other
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
