Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program to support the development and maintenance of software programs for computer-based systems, primarily in support of the Federal Government and Department of Defense.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Currently an active-duty service member.
- Is within 2-4 months of separation or retirement.
- Will receive an honorable discharge.
- Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
- Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
- Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to the start of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions to meet them.
- Plan, design, implement, test, and maintain portions of software applications.
- Develop and maintain software planning and requirements documentation.
- Contribute to user manuals and technical support documentation.
- Participate in software testing, validation, and verification.
- Support debugging, anomaly resolution, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate third-party simulation models into a common simulation environment.

- Must have received Unit Commander approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program.
- Some bases may require an MOU to be completed between the base and Torch.
