JRC is looking to solve challenges faced by the Department of Defense (DoD) and other government agencies by delivering mission-critical microelectronics solutions, aerospace systems engineering, and cutting-edge research and development. Specifically, the SM-3 Software Engineer will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile program by developing, testing, and integrating advanced missile software into the Aegis Weapon System to counter emerging threats and meet the demands of Munitions Acceleration.
Requirements
- Experience working on Software Development (Scrum Sprints)
- Experience with the SM3 Missile and/or Missile production
- Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency or U.S. Navy
- Experience in technical writing and documentation development
- Experience in scheduling, Microsoft Project, One Pager, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development
- Confidence in developing and delivering presentations
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for missile guidance, navigation, control, discrimination, and communication systems.
- Contribute to software architecture design, requirements analysis, detailed design, and code reviews.
- Support Aegis Weapon System integration and testing activities.
- Participate in flight tests and data analysis.
- Manage technical meetings and design reviews for software activities, including MDA Engineering Technical Reviews.
- Oversees the progress of development sprints and managing backlogs.
- Define long-term technical strategies and architectural roadmaps.

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of professional experience in an office setting
- Active SECRET Security clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
