Huntress is looking to hire a Software Engineer to design, develop, and release software features for their Managed Security Portal, which provides automated detection and human-powered threat hunting. The goal is to create the technical vision for new features and strengthen detection and response capabilities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing complex software products
- 2+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails
- Experience reviewing code, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting
- Experience with Hotwire, Stimulus, Turbo
- Experience with Clickhouse database
- Experience with AWS Cloud Environments
- Experience with JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features and internal tools for the Huntress Managed Security Portal using Ruby on Rails and related technologies.
- Translate acceptance criteria into functional workflows, data models, and clean, maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with security researchers, platform engineers, and SOC analysts to deliver solutions that strengthen detection and response capabilities.
- Implement and refine data processing pipelines to extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through thorough code reviews, automated and manual testing, and attention to performance and scalability.
- Contribute to team discussions on technical design, estimation, and continuous improvement of development practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and support.
