Calm is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to serve as the technical lead and primary system owner for Calm’s direct-to-consumer web platform, aiming to deliver reliable, high-performance, and secure digital experiences.
Requirements
- Proficiency in React, Next.js (App Router, SSR/ISR/SSG), Node.js, and Typescript
- Experience with backend API design and development
- Familiarity with end-to-end analytics pipelines (Amplitude, Segment, Google Tag Manager)
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or GKE
- Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests within CI/CD environments
- Ability to mentor and review code to promote best practices
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure full-stack systems for new features and enhancements
- Lead the development and deployment of complex frontend features, ensuring seamless integration with backend services
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to industry standards
- Implement instrumentation and monitoring to identify and resolve system errors and performance issues
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage through unit and integration testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Stay informed on the latest frontend technologies and trends to incorporate innovative solutions
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence

- This role is remote but limited to candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City, or Minneapolis.
