The Apple Cloud Engineering team is looking to build and integrate software to orchestrate workloads across highly performant and energy efficient systems that will power the next generation of data centers.
Requirements
- strong skills in software design and programming
- experience with cloud orchestration engines such as Kubernetes, Nomad, Apache Mesos, or similar
- good understanding of microservice topologies and deployment patterns in the cloud and/or edge
- experience with Swift, Objective-C and Apple development tools
- knowledge of OS architecture, and low-level system components
- proficiency in one of C/C++, Obj-C
- good grasp of system integration and management (configuration management, software deployment, OTA)
Responsibilities
- build and integrate software to orchestrate workloads across highly performant and energy efficient systems
- build and maintain system software such as runtime libraries, frameworks, and daemons that will power the next generations of data centers
- develop and integrate best in class hardware, software and services
- build and maintain system infrastructure that powers next generation of data centers
- ensure high quality and agility with unit tests, integration tests and performance tests
- adapt, tailor, and scale software on a novel compute platform
- help to build the foundation of our future cloud architecture
