Leidos' High Fidelity Simulation Business Area is looking to develop advanced sonar tactical decision aids (TDAs) that directly support the U.S. Navy's operational readiness
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on professional experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing production applications in Java and/or C++
- Experience working with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration patterns (e.g., SOAP services, XML/JSON messaging, WSDL, message queues)
- Familiarity with modernizing or integrating existing systems, including refactoring, performance tuning, and incremental adoption of newer technologies or frameworks
- Strong software development skills, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be willing to earn an IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hire (company-supported)
- Experience with Java, C++, Angular, Rust, Scala, and other modern programming languages
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Tactical Signature Guidance (TSG) systems, including sonar TDAs across multiple code baselines
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software challenges while contributing innovative solutions
- Learn and apply new programming languages and technologies, with mentorship and support from experienced teammates
- Occasionally support hardware system configuration and build-out, gaining exposure to full system integration
- Own and deliver software solutions in Java, C++, and other modern languages
- Learn and apply new technologies (e.g., Angular, Rust, Scala) to meet evolving needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with efficient solutions
Other
- Travel occasionally to Manassas, VA for integration and team collaboration
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be willing to earn an IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hire (company-supported)
