The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Engineer–Test & Verification to support the KC-46 team, focusing on software/hardware integration testing and formal qualification test of Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software.
Requirements
- 5 years of direct experience designing and developing software test plans, test cases and test procedures.
- 5 years of direct experience executing software test procedures and documenting results.
- 5 years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java or Ada.
- 5 years of experience with Linux based operating systems, command line tools and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test and certification)
- Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with automated test scripts and frameworks
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
- Partners with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability.
- Designs test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications.
- Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.
- Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.
- Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Creates, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards.

- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (Preferred).
- Must be willing to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
- Must be willing to work in a union-represented position.
