The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer –Test & Verification to join the B-52H Software Sustainment Team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization and deliver qualified, mission capable software to the United States Air Force.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience performing data analysis
- 2+ years of experience verifying software performance requirements and resolving software performance issues
- Active United States Government Security Clearance – Secret or higher
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science; or an Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge of, or experience with C++ code
- Experience with weapons, POD, radio communications, navigation and radar operations
- Understanding of Link-16 architecture and messages
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains software systems that meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards
- Partners with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational needs, performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts
- Completes software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrates and deploys mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
- Performs code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
- Monitors and reviews test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems
- Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
- Reviews product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking and evaluating internal team and supplier performance

- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship
