Boeing is looking for an Experienced Software Engineer–Test & Verification to join the B-52H Software Sustainment team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization by performing software verification testing and data analysis in support of the B-52H bomber aircraft.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience writing and decomposing requirements into software and verification requirements, writing and reviewing test plans and technical documentation, executing software and / or system level testing / integration testing, and producing detailed test reports
- Ability to independently execute with a focus on first time quality and product safety
- Active United States Government Security Clearance – Secret or higher
- 2+ years of experience working with software tools such as MatLab, knowledge of, or experience with C++ software code, software compilers, the Microsoft suite of tools and applications or similar capabilities
- 2+ years of B-52 military experience or equivalent working with operational Link-16 and weapons data link networks; understanding of Link-16 architecture and messages; experience with weapons, POD, radio communications, navigation and radar operations
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality
- Partners with stakeholders review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability
- Designs test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications
- Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments
- Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes
- Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
- Creates, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
