Google is looking to solve the problem of cost efficiency, reliability, and application performance in datacenter networking, specifically in rackswitch bandwidth provisioning and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with coding in C++
- 1 year of experience with distributed computing
- 1 year of experience with SQL
- 1 year of experience with data center networking
- Experience with information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end projects to support deployment of new rack switch hardware increase rack switch availability.
- Improve rack switch deployment flexibility, rack switch bandwidth provisioning efficiency.
- Increase velocity of rack switch deployments, and improve reliability of all rack switch life-cycle workflows.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Ability to display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems
- Ability to work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects
- US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
